Got this along with another dresser and to night stands from my wife's grandma's estate. Mother N law says she remembers this dresser set when she was a child. Can tell it is old as the hills as real wood and sticks a bit.
The tacks are on every piece, and just regular parafin wax?

Are the drawer fronts leather covered?
Everything in your pictures indicates it is 20th century.

Scott will have to check that out, I have it at my mom's house right now did not really check it out that close. The knobs are plastic/glass so unsure if they are original at all.
I had another that seen on site that was a rolled front with veneer top that was chipping off. Wife sold that to a friend for 35.00
Was heavy set but with veneer chipping off and scratched way was did not figure worth much.
Rather than wax, use a bar of soap, then you will have a pleasant scent as well.
