This Victorian glass basket is made from three layers of cased glass - clear over fine, multicoloured spatter, with a white interior. The basket measures 13.5 cm tall including the handle, 14.5 cm across the crimped top rim, & 5.5 cm across the base, which has a rough, snapped pontil mark. It has a clear, applied looped handle, & has a moulded pattern of bumps. Pretty sure this one is also Bohemian. The colour scheme of the spatter is similar to that seen in the Harlequin patterned spatter pieces by Welz.
Oh, I have just seen this one! What a pretty, pretty piece! The colors are just so cheerful! It does remind me of Welz, as does the molded basket and the twisted handle. This is really lovely!
