Due to rain only about a quarter to a third of vehicles made it to the antique truck show this year. Possibly as they have show car quality paint and cleaning that up can take a lot work. Also it is Southern California and rain causes panic. I made it there and I had to drive through 5" of snow.
Anyway a few nice vehicles made it there.
    First is a 1959 Dodge.
Next is a Ford, I think may be early 1960s.
#3 is a Chevrolet Apache. I think that one is 1959 too.
Last is a GMC pickup. I like the spare tire on the side.

When trucks were made of steel not pop cans, I had a newer Dodge that dented if a bird crapped on it, Nice to see real trucks.

I could cry. I had an Apache for a few years . It was old when I bought it in 1972. I traveled across Canada camping in it with my first wife . Great memories of that truck. Sadly it went away, so did the wife. Foot starter , three on the tree, and it had a radio.

My kids dad and I had the Chevy, I don't recall it being called Apache but then again that was a long time ago. If I remember correctly, the original bed on these was a long bed and a lot of them were replaced with this short side step. Hmmm, that may be the other way around too!

You are so right about people here driving in the "rain". It's obvious they have never driven anywhere else because compared to just about everywhere else in the states, this would be considered drizzle, right?!?

Thank you very much boysfarm. It sure would be fun to have one of those. So far I just have the side emblem spears.

Thank you very much shareurpassion. There were 4 versions of the Apache. The one in the photo is a 31 which is a half ton short bed. 32 is a 1/2 ton long bed. 36 is 3/4 ton and 38 is 1 ton.
It's fun to see people stuck in a 1/2 inch of snow up here. They don't realize their cars can't drive in snow.
