Yes, it's an air motor by Gast. Another interesting acquisition but am unsure of the actual application for an item like this one. Interesting piece, runs smooth. The folks on this site have been great in the past, thanks!

Also a vacuum pump, so it could be used for testing certain aircraft instruments .
I'm guessing now, would this not be for a harness stitching/sewing machine that is air operated?

Looks like an old vacuum pump, probably used for air conditioning and refrigeration. The sight glass on the front is a dead giveaway- it is used to see how much vacuum pump oil is in it. If you fill that glass about halfway and run it, one of those flared brass fittings should start pulling a vacuum.
