I think that I may have found a significant piece. It is marked on each fan in what looks to be a Chinese export, or Japanese mark. It is outstanding in detail and appears early.
Any help concerning the piece would be greatly appreciated. Hopefully, someone will recognize the maker's mark. I thank you in advance...
Very impressive!!!
A crisp close up of the mark will help, for the moment, I can only guess it is an Egyptian hallmark... I never heard of Chinese or Japanese made Egyptian revival pieces :-)
Yes, agree with kyratango - Egyptian hallmarks. Do you have a magnifying glass or jeweler's loupe? Holding it against the camera lens and focus through it for clear photos.
Thank you so much for the insight and for teaching me something new in how to capture a small mark in detail. I think that you will find this shot much better. I didn't see and heading available for Egyptian antiques. How should I post this?
Seems to be the silver 600 fineness Cairo hallmark:

The right category for posting your necklace is fine jewelry, egyptian revival :-)
Thank you so much kratango. Unfortunately, I purchased it with the understanding that it was tested at at least .925.
Gorgeous necklace! Even if not 925 it's still amazing. I would buy it.
