I bought some really nice silver this morning from one of my regular thrift shop haunts and was given this bracelet as a freebie (plus two pair of sterling earrings that were destined for the melting pot!) I discovered that this is either Scottish Banded Agate OR Bullseye Agate.
See a link in the Comments.
Thanks for stopping!

karen - I thought that, too, but the "feel" of it and how quickly it warmed up gave me the impression of a Lucite material.
Well, I took it off and put it in a drawer. I just now took it out and felt it - feels cold and very smooth, almost like glass.
Maybe it is Agate....or not.... gah!!
Lookie what I found - it IS Agate. Bullseye Agate. All sorts here:

I wonder if the Agate is antique and it has since been restrung. I dunno, LOL!
Now I'm hearing from another source that the bracelet is Bullseye Agate. More to come..........
Wow, what a great gift this was, Bonnie! I'll bet the thrift didn't know how nice it was, or...maybe they did! :^)
Great gift, Bonnie!
Agate for sure! Bullseye visible on some panels :-)
I don't think it is as old as Victorian era, but still an appealing bracelet!
I'm always amazed by the price reached by these bullseye or banded agate pieces....
Hey All - I think this is a 1980s or earlier bracelet, not Victorian. That kind of boggles my mind, lol! I do think it's beautiful, especially for NOTHING! LOL
bill - they don't know much about certain sorts of jewelry. I got a few more freebies, in silver, because my clerk friend there felt sorry for me paying more than she thought I should have (the manager priced the jewelry) so she let me take some stuff for free when the manager wasn't looking....
:-)))))))
Beautiful !!! Probably they think you are their best customer :)
martika - I hope so! I am always on the prowl for good stuff in there.
