    Red clay urn or something . Approximately 20lbs and it may be an urn or water jug, but looks very old.

      It does look old...I think. You can edit this post and add pics of the whole jug in addition to the close ups you already have. And a pic of the bottom will greatly raise your chances of someone knowing something to help in your research.

      we need to see the entire piece and from more than one angle in order to say anything about this. also, always post a pic of the bottom - even if there are no marks there. we can tell more about a pot from the bottom than any other side.
