Los Angeles Pottery Company was a small facility started in the 1940s providing items for the florist trade. In the 1960s they produced a couple lines of cookie jars and serving pieces with stylized Provincial-type decorations that are their most recognized items.

It's a keeper! California pottery is still gaining a growing fan base as people learn that few of these potteries are still around. American based potters took over part of the supply line for pottery during the WWll embargo and war with Japan who was a large supplier of pottery to the USA. Many potters liked the California clay and ports for shipping and set up there. Many became famous, some did not . Many Potteries opened but by the late 1950's most were out of business and their pottery can be a collectors dream. Yard sales still turn up desirable California Pottery which is worth hundreds or even thousands of dollars. Nice find.
