These are part of a collection of photos and photo postcards that I purchased a few years ago. They are 1915-1917 All taken in Canada, most of them are from Deseronto a training center for air cadets from Britain and Canada. They were boys , young men ready to die and many did some say for their country I say for the world. The wagon crew is great, notice the goat. And the one of the pilot standing on the wing. The horseshoe didn't help "Lundy's Lane". There are 75 to 100 photos cards in this collection.
The ones on the wagon are the smart ones ! They know people like me maintain those things.
They made it through another day. My son-in-laws grandfather flew in the Lancasters, didnt talk much about it but did say they never asked each other their last names , because too many never came back. His job was in the bubble firing away.
Some very interesting photos, a work friend from Toronto lived there when he was young ! Fascinating !~
They sure know how to fly 'em. :P
Any landing you can crawl away from is a good one !
Really excellent set of photo's. You've done very well in your collections!
