My mother had every intention of refinishing this amazing piece, but unfortunately never did. I elected not to try and refinish either trunks because I don't want to ruin the entegrity of them. It has the original hardware in two separate coffee cans. I Hope to find the right home for them.

I would seek to put as much of the original hardware back on to maintain the integrity.thanks for sharing. Some information on history and styles of trunks enjoy!
