Over the years I've run across these vintage wall art tiles and was intrigued when I spotted these shallow bowls? Or maybe ashtrays?

4.375 square and the height is about .375 tall. These are old, the grazing and the translucent glaze is a typical aqua color.

The flowers are lightly raised but since the glaze melts and settles it took away the raised relief.

Any ideas what manufacturer made these? The age? Their original intent?

I can't help you on the maker Atomic, but they are tiles, and not crazed, it's a crackle glaze that's used for the look, that it gives. It would be great to see a group of them, set for a backsplash, on a counter. Probably small square tiles, of contrasting colors of peach, purple, yellow and white, were used at the intersecting corners. Nice looking, thanks for posting! :^)
