I recently purchased several pieces of older art from an estate sale. This one was with the others & the others I have been able to date to app. the early 1900's. This one, signed Ch. E. Keller is a mystery as to the artist. Possibly the Ch. is just identifying he was a Swiss artist?? Any info would be helpful. The label on the back shows that this came from Mohr Art Galleries in Toledo Ohio which I believe was in business from 1910 to 1950.
Hi
check out this book link.
It says Charles E Keller was a landscape artist born in Ohio around 1870 and was working in Zanesville Muskingum Ohio ..
Guess case closed!!

It just may be!?! Thanks so much for the info! I was unsuccessful myself when using Charles for the Ch. search but you may have hit the jackpot as your find may certainly be the correct answer. Does anyone know for sure is this artist was Charles E. Keller from Ohio???
