TopSecretS…
(1 item)
Hi All,
This lovely little girl made it across my desk today and I need a hand identifying her! Her name is Julia and she's a 7 inch tall vinyl baby doll. She appears to be new in box, although a small smudge on the tip of her nose could indicate that someone has played with her. Here's what I know:
*She has rooted hair and movable arms and legs (thank you package!)
*She includes a white vinyl baby bottle and a pink lace-trimmed dress with a rosette detail
*She was made in China, but imported by Jay Norris Canada Inc.
Jay Norris put out catalogues that one could order from. The earliest copy of a catalogue I could find was from the 1950s. Their business has been inactive in Canada since 1996.
Does anyone know a little more about her history?
Thank you!
I'm a little confused here - what information are you lacking? Everything is printed on the box.
That's the trouble - the information I have here is literally everything I can find on her! I'm curious about age, production, the brand, more info on the company. Anything, really. There isn't another one of her on the internet, but I can't imagine that she's especially rare (given that she came through a mail order catalogue).
I'm new to the world of vintage goods. Is there a better way to go about gathering this info? Did I misuse language (I know that certain words or phrases can mean something vastly different within an online community than within general speech)? Honestly, any direction is helpful :)
