This item is 13 1/2" tall and is heavy. Maybe cast iron. The small circle on top between the cats is only 1 1/2" in diameter. I couldn't find any writing on it. It has an Egyptian Cat look too. I got it at a yard sale. Have searched for hours online.
Not sure if I have it in the right category.

    any help appreciated.

    thank you

It's fantastic! love those cats. At first I thought it a stick stand but see it's way too small for that. I wonder if it once held a glass epergne?

I had someone else mention that............the circle at the top is soooo small. Might hold a long test tube.
      I, too love the cats.

This base must have held something made of breakable material. The bowl or urn was supported on the cat's heads, but tapered down to a pointy bottom which fit inside the small ring.
