Y ou can see in the images the notes that my Mom tagged these tiny, delicate and very old (in comparison to other things) earrings that my Mom's paternal grandmother brought over along with my grandfather who was around the age of 4 when they sailed here to join her husband. These earrings are priceless to my family in terms of history and nostalgia. Unsure if these would be real gold or ? Tiny seed pearl (we were told...but I'm not 100% sure). As she was an adult, I'm not certain how much more they might predate arriving in the US. She had older children too. I need to look back at the genealogy records that has the ship manifest as we've gotten 1904 and 1907 mixed up a few times.
Very pretty Art Nouveau period earrings! They could be gold - there is a stamp on the wires but I can't read it because the metal is too black. Best to let a jeweler look at them.
Yeah, I tried getting a better pic on the wires and just couldn't get it. I have it set aside with some pieces I need to take to a jewelry appraiser. Are there certain things I should look for when taking my pieces to get appraised? I'm not sure if there is a flat fee or by item type pricing...I'm really leery about this part.
