My dad a was stationed at NAD West Loch, Hawaii from 1950 to 1953.
Since there wasn't a Chief Petty Officers Club at West Loch, we would go to Pearl Harbor for some fine dining. Check the prices for dinner in 1952, a Filet Mignon was $2.75. My favorite meal was the Mahi Mahi.
Officer's ate good and at a cheap cost, my what a few years of inflation will do to a steak, Nice collection and memory's
How times have changed! Officer's and SR NCO Clubs used to be fine dining.
A Petty Officer is a SR Non Commissioned Officer in the Navy-- equivalent to a Sergeant First Class + (E-7).

I have heard that CPOs had the best food. I am going for the $1.75 lobster tail and shrimp cocktail. Iced tea will be fine.
Yep - I too would have ordered the Mahi Mahi :)
