We bought this very nice Wides Gas sign from a Collector in Oregon a while back and finally went and got it last week. Today we got it in the air after having to change the base of the pole to fit the footing we already had in the ground. It wasn't a huge deal but there always seems to be some complication when too much time passes between the placement of footings and the purchase of signs and poles. Life is filled with surprises and they're not all good ones! Hunting and finding cool signs is always fun!

Thx for the love it

Thx for the love it. The sign has a footing 7' deep with 1/2 rebar to the bottom and 4 X 1" bolts which should hold it pretty good. We get gusts at 70mph that test our signs yearly & have had a few failures but hope we're learning
Look at the action on this sign! Pretty sick!

Exactly my feelings. This is a pretty rare sign and in wonderful condition and all I get is 10 Luvs? Really? Most of what I see on CW is the same stuff I pass up at garage sales. Who are these guys? Porcelain sign lovers they are not! Thx for the observation
Bobby725,
Right! I've accidentally tried to luv pix more than once and that's impossible. It's just strange that more people don't appreciate very cool things and perhaps have no idea just how rare, expensive and hard to find these old Porcelain signs really are as compared to some of the garage sale junk I see on CW. Hard to figure? If CW posts and loves are any indication of the condition America is in, I can better understand why Washington is so broken. Both sides of the aisle

Thx for the compliment. We would love to meet u when u come. Lots to see in Utah with all our cool National Parks.
Wow! Impressive sign!!
Buckethead,
Exactly! And only 14 people think so? I bought it and drove 13 hrs to pick it up and very few luv it? I don't get it as this is a beauty!
Rattletrap - you are very passionate about your awesome sign collection and you should be. CW has an audience that love what they love for various reasons. I know that I have an extensive collection of rare and mint beer cans (along with beer porcelain signs) that I don't post as few people on this site understand that. I post them on other sites where other beer can collectors can appreciate and discuss them. My show cars....well....I go to car shows for that :) I post a few items on this site because I enjoy the CW members postings....I keep it light. Stay positive....I think your sign collection is awesome!

All u say is true. I just don't get it?
Buckethead,
We now have 96 signs on poles which is pretty rare and will soon surpass the 100 mark and we get 14 Luvs on CW on rare signs that baffle me? Surely there have to be more people than that who appreciate cool porcelain signs out of the zillions who see CW?
I have lots of friends who are not CW members but continue to follow this site (including your collection). Believe me when I your signs are very well appreciated amongst the silent :)

Thanks for the encouragements.

Thx for the comments. They always help
Your collection always gets my attention. Oil & gas is right up there with Coke signs. I stick with Coke when collecting because of so many fake signs out there. Your signs are large and can't be reproduced. Keep up your hunting and posting because this guy loves them.

Thank u very much. I always wonder if anyone even notices the cool signs we keep adding to the collection. We will be standing more signs tomorrow. Just got back from the Iowa Gas show.
