Well he looks like an EZ_WINNER to me!! His cigarette looks kind of big But those awards--he is proud of something and has a lot of pride in his accomplishments, no doubt.. He may be African-American.
Dressed very well.
This photo was cut down from an old postcard to fit in a wallet picture window.
Is that cigarette super-sized, or is it just my vision?
Does anyone know WHY he would have so many awards pinned on his coat. Is he just boasting and having fun with it? Can anyone read anything there?
I care not that it was cut down. This is my favorite type of photo--first of all, it intrigues me. If the first thing that comes to mind are questions that tease me---I want it. So, its in my collection!

Looks like he was wealthy to me and maybe owned a show horse ? Just a wild guess but cool image PCC :-)
I love kiddin around and it never bothers me I like a little fun along with learning on the site ! You want to wager a bet too on the horse ? lol
My daughter. grandaughter and grandson are commercial tellers(Ticket sales) at Turf Paradise and 'Off site betting"--all three at 3 different spots--My daughter's mother and father-in-law were always just at the Turf Paradise site, for decades!! (Huge beautiful park and track in Phoenix. I do place bets sometimes. Love to.

Mani--I can't believe you said that about horses!!t--When I first typed in I said "Looks like a horse owner!!! " Then I realized there are people here who are critical of "speculation." so I edited it out. Sure takes the fun out it.
I think Manikin and I are on to something!(and speculation stirs creativity) So keep it up! Pass the oats and sweet feed!

Any other suggestions on what is going on with this guy. He has a little attitude with his ciggy in the photo. I seldom see that.
I vote for a show horse owner, He doesn't look like a dog person (or chicken) certainly not a laborer or hero, Maybe best flower in show? but na I'll but my two bits on show horse owner.
