This bell was given to me by my fifth grade teacher 1945 -46. They installed a buzzer system. Not as effective but could alert all 5 rooms at once. Desk/Seat arrangement was arranged in rows , fastened down to the floor. This did not fit into any catagory. Bells can be used as a musical instument if properly arranged. This one was LOUD.
