My husband purchased this from a garage sale and we know nothing about it. We wanted to use it for a prop (we are photographers) but we felt it wasn't very safe to use as there is sharp metal hinges. I have tried to research the picture on the inside of the trunk of the "hunter" but have had very little luck in trying to find any other's like it.
Yours looks like a shorter version of mine.....

It's a 1900s monitor top or waterfall. Just check out what the experts said on mine.
