I had never seen this kind of decor until this year (I'm referring to it as the fish-eye decor), the shape in unmistakably Welz. The base color is aqua with powders applied throughout and a technique is used to trap air bubbles inside the glass. The piece is cased in clear and is blown into a "waffle type" mold. The last steps would have to be the application of 4 strutted feet and polishing the rim. I Hope you enjoy this Welz 20's-30's piece
Nice find.... I have also seen this blue controlled bubble decor on a Welz basket, although I can not locate the images at the moment.
so far only two blue examples and two pink examples, its a very nice pattern but I wonder if its early or later in production- since the ones I've seen tend to have bohemian shapes and applications
Wow beautiful & unusual, I've never seen anything like it.
I have posted a cranberry controlled bubble pot, and Craig has one in his seminal article.
Beautiful colors... great texture... wonderful shape!
love the close up piccys !!!!!!!!
