Once again an item for when I look up information I find guestimates so I will note post a date. Safe to say it is vintage.
This is one of those tins made mostly of cardboard. It is very nice cardboard nice patina etc. Typical size of the items that would go in the spice rack.
In the instructions for making good tea it says I need an earthen vessel but sadly I am out of those. Hopefully an enamelware pot will do.

It will need to be a nice blue spatter enamel to go with the orange pekoe.

I bet it still tastes nicer than that tea I had.

I collect all sorts of tins including the tin/cardboard containers. You can see the transition in some products especially in petroleum products. My older oil cans are tins. My "not so old" oil cans are cardboard with "tin" tops and bottoms. Now that are just unsightly plastic.
Nice graphics on this tea cardboard/tin !

Thank you very much elanski. Will find out after I get an earthenware vessel.

Thank you very much buckethead. I guess it is ok to call a tin/cardboard container a tin.
