Vendo 23, often refered as a spintop. early 50's quite common machine, value unrestored maybe $300.00 to $400.00. Restored as a complete machine $800.00 to $1200.00.
I own a mid-60's Pause & Refresh Coca Cola 6 cents machine, approx. 6 foot tall. What can you tell me about it? Worth? Rarity?
Bob is dead on. Lumpy, post it so we can all see.
I have a Coca Cola Ice box, that used, Block of Ice. Good Shape with some rust. Embosted Drink Coca Cola, Ice Cold in white on both side. I think it would be from the 40. Could you give me a better date, and value.
big ed, I'll give you a value as soon as my crystal ball clears up !
Just FYI: in the early 1960s my junior high-school basketball teammates and I would stop at the local lumber company on the way home from practice, riding our bicycles. They had a Coke machine, with a short lever activation, that charged 6 cents for a coke: you put a penny in first, then a nickel, then twisted the lever, and a bottle would drop through a chute to a place you could remove the bottle. At one point we figured out, accidentally, that if we put the penny in, and then turned the lever and let it SNAP back into resting position, we could get a Coke for a penny. That didn't last long, but it was fun for a couple of weeks.
For such a common machine this is only the second time I've ever seen a photo of one. The rest are ubiquitous. Maybe folks don't find this one as photogenic, but I sure do.
