Solifleur, I've learned, is the fancy name for these narrow-necked vases designed to hold a single stem. This is of Czechoslovakian, probably inter-war, origin - that's about as certain as I can get on this one.
Vase has a clear-cased multi-colored spatter over a "black amethyst" ground. It stands 8" (20.3 cm) tall. The outside diameter of the throat opening is 1 1/8" (28 mm) and it gets narrower before opening to a 3 5/8" (9.1 cm) diameter base. The underside has a "smiling" Czechoslovakia export mark in white enamel.
