The material of pedestal and lady body seems to be compound. Glass shade is colorful and finished with bras paint. Statue lamp is 7 feet tall and could be divided in 3 parts. I'm guessing is vintage Italian. Y don't seem to be able to find any information or any lamp like it. Could you help me find aproxímate time of construction and where was made and if there's any others like it?
Thank you
These were started during the 1966 when they first started doing these and into the 1970's. They were mainly made in Italy but some examples were made in the U.S. also. This one definitely looks italian. The corinthean column is wonderful and the shade pulls it all together. I have been studying lamps such as these for a number of years. In 66 they really started a huge import/export trade that brought out many creations. This looks to be a nice quality one as they made some in very rough modeling.
I have added it to my collections (see under loves at left). There is one very much the same in someone had added to this forum a while ago.
This is one of the nicest models I have seen of the corinthian column. Very high quality. Italy made some of the nicest tables and columns for these statue lamps, and this one is high quality, beautifully made !~
