    This lovely box was given to me by a friend. I wish there was more of a story, but that's about it - she found it in a thift store, and knows I love a good mystery! Glass is a favorite of mine, and I have other milk glass pieces; but none quite like this.
    I've tracked the design to Consolidated's Santa Maria line (#2566), but I am unable to locate any actual markings on the box. There appears to be a "cut" in the lid, on the ships stern (lower middle-right side)... it's not a chip, and it does not seem to be a repair; but I imagine it may affect the value of the piece - if it is the real deal : ) How do I tell?
    Any information is very much appreciated.

      not aware of reproductions of this piece; sharp edges in pressed glass are typical and sometimes confused as cuttings. You might check with the Phoenix Consolidated facebook group:
