I can't decipher the marks on the blade of this adorable little pocket knife and it's driving me crazy!! Are there any knife experts out there that can ID this? It looks to maybe be gold plated... Or was once upon a time. I also think it had a bale attached at one point. Possibly. I'm really clueless. Thanks for helping!

Beautiful knife, not sure of the maker, but someone here will know, thanks for posting.

If you can tell me what is written on the blade in picture #3, I can probably tell you more about it. You need to use the tricks of the trade, which include shading with pencil and paper, chalk, and macro camera photos sometimes show more than meets the eye.

Thank you Faith1611, I sure hope so! And Izenenglish, I'll try those tricks when I get home and will let you know what I find! Thanks for the suggestions!

Sorry Kjane79, I can't make what it says on the blade either, but it looks like it's silver plated over brass to me! Good luck! :^)

Okay, so the top word is Dunn and under that is Bros. But I still can't figure out the bottom word. But, at least I figured out who made it!

"Dunn Brothers, Providence, Rhode Island", Makers of Gold filled Jewelry, and Novelties. I do not know if this Company made the entire knife, or just finished it. That will be your homework, to find out, and let us know. lol

PS: Your knife is called a FOB knife from what i can see, Here is one more link for you. I would try and determine if it is in fact gold or silver filled, if i were you.
