The two ladles are for melting and pouring lead, there is a piece of railroad track he used as an anvil and two gear pullers. The thing that looks like pliers is for leather work setting grommets.
I think the 'pliers thing' is indeed used in leatherwork (etc) but is a punch instead of a grommet tool. The 6-pointed 'wheel' on one side of it should rotate and click into different positions, allowing the tool to make a choice of 6 different size holes in something squeezed in it. It is probably made in England. (or at least my contemporary model of the same tool is, anyway?)
