This one is made of as far as I can tell iron, there's no place for keys either. It's a very interesting piece. I have had people try to buy it and it's not for sale. If I can't find out about it as much as I have looked it must be pretty rare. I love this site and looking at all the locks from years gone by. Thanks for your time.
I really just want to know what this is used for and they name of it. I have never seen any other thing that looks like it looks. It is not for sale. I know it's rare and that's why I'm keeping it to start my son a collection. Thank you
A weight ???
I'm waiting too.
I see no reason to believe this is a lock. It appears that you can take it apart, clean it up a bit, and study what the innards do. How big is it? Any holes in the big end?
Agreeing with UncleRon...not necessarily so much a "lock" (security-wise) than maybe a kind of 'locking fastener' thing for use in an industrial application...railroad, power lines, something like that...??
Meemee1978, welcome to CW! :^D Could you please give a top, and bottom view, and a size also! Thanks! :^)
I'm adding pictures of the top bottom and side also it is approximately 6 inches long
Its a clamp that goes on the track that Barn Hay trolleys ride on
