Another little something I picked up at the Rose Bowl. Took a bit of a chance on this due to the lamp sticking out the top but it is probably worth what I paid in parts. It has also been painted black with a paint brush but that can be undone.
I did see two examples of this phone on the net. One was blocked off at the top as if it did have something sticking out the top at some point. Normally on a candlestick phone the mouthpiece can be adjusted up and down. This one does not which leads me to think it could have been made this way as a combination phone/lamp. It may seem a bit awkward using the phone/lamp combo but I tried holding it up as if talking into it and it seems doable. But then again people are so crazed to repurpose antiques but then again the light fixture looks old.
Perhaps ttomtucker can give us an answer. No pressure.

From your first couple pics two things occur to me, which make me lean towards somebody's 'repurpose' project. The lamp cord is made of rubber/plastic -- if original it would have much more likely been cloth-covered instead. Also, it appears to be threaded through the inside of the phone and out of the same hole where the handset cord comes out -- this would certainly not have been done by any original manufacturer, since combining wall voltage AC current (lamp) and low voltage DC current (phone handset) wires in such close proximity would create a huge potential "electrical hazard" -- even in the early days of electricity and telephony, various codes/standards would have prohibited that.

The cord looks like what you begin to see in the 1950s. The harp looks fairly new (compared to the phone).
I see a lot of late '50s through '70s lamps of all sorts of crazy things. Just the other day in a thrift store, one was a water-pump where you use the handle to turn it on and off.

You see this all the time someone has taken a Stromberg-Carlson candlestick and made a lamp out of it. to bad they drilled a hole through the top of the perch. They do make a nice lamp.

Thank you very much AnythingObscure. I thought there was a chance the cord could have been replaced. But the AC and DC cords together would be a problem. Not looking good for it to have been made that way.

Thank you very much SpiritBear. The lamp is shinier where the paint is scratched off than the phone. Looks like a 50s lamp I agree.
