These were taken before the big remodeling which has mixed reviews. The previous displays were diorama style and I have read the new displays just the cars displayed in a hall. Hopefully it hasn't become a thoughts and feelings museum.
Anyway starts off with a front and rear of a Caddy. Number 3 is a beautiful 1963 split window Corvette. Kept in Concours D'Elegance condition.
Wrapping it up is a Studebaker Lark Wagaonaire the real thing. It is displayed in a replica garage. It is probably down in the basement now.
If you go to the Petersen be sure to take the basement tour. It is expensive but there was more there then in the actual museum.

Good to see the real thing after seeing your model. We didn't have these in Aus; very quirky!

Hey fortapache, nice cars, my shop teacher in Junior High had a Caddy just like that one, but white, with red interior, we'd wait in the parking lot, just to see the top go up, loved that car! :^D
Have you ever heard of the Black Hawk Auto Museum in Danville Calif. The cars there are displayed like works of art, almost brings a tear to my eye when I go there, something to see!
Here's something else to see, 65 years of Hot Rod Magazine, a good watch! :^D

      Enjoy! :^)

Thank you very much Bill. Never have heard of that museum but will put it on my list of places to visit when I get up that way.
In the meantime I will be watching the video.

my dad had the studebaker lark wagonaire in the mid 50s. he would drag a coca-cola merry-go-round from it and go town to town in New England to pay for his college.

Thank you very much ho2cultcha. I just delivered pizza, don't think that would pay for college now.
