Hi, can anybody help me identify this trunk? I am a furniture restoration guy and considering restoring it. It is in rough shape. It was given to me by someone that did not know the history. Any knowledge greatly appreciated. Thanks

It's a nice trunk... circa 1880. With no label hard to know who made it. Most makers bought their parts from suppliers and I believe this is the case for yours. Hope this helps..

Ps. The trick of pictures not posting sideways depends on how you hold your iPhone when you take pics... hold phone lengthways with picture button to the right.

Agree with trunkman, your trunk is in pretty good shape, would be nice refinished. greendog

Thanks guys for the input, so the pic I posted of the inside of the trunk with the woman , is not any type of identification?

No, most trunks had random chromium lithograph pictures that had absolutely no meaning.
