It looks like something to open a paint can with, but has a round blunt end and a split in the middle of the shaft. Can anyone help identify it?

The fact that here is a crown cap opener in the grip suggests a kitchen or camping tool, perhaps a "universal" tin opener for the kind of sealed cans which had a tab on the side which was wound up on a key (usually soldered to the lid), splitting a band of metal off the side as you rolled it (think Spam - 1950).
Spam, spam, spam, spam, spam, spam, spam, baked beans, and spam.

UncleRon,
Thank you. I knew there was a bottle cap opener at the one end. I just didn't realize those metal tin keys came in such big sizes.
(I love the Spam reference, and "I don't LIKE SPAM!")
Turn key can opener. I haven't seen one in years. They come in all sizes and shapes.

Apparently still made. I opened something within the past year in one of these cans. I don't remember what it was; maybe some kind of snack. Not Spam.
Spam !! Thought that was just made for starving soldiers, & they would throw it at the enemy to prove they had nothing of value to fight for.
Thank you all for your input!
For those who haven't seen one, I have TWO of them. LOL!
I’m old enough to remember when spam was a budget belly filler instead of a trendy meat like substance that costs as much as steak ounce for ounce.
