trunkman
(149 items)
I have been hoping to add this type of trunk to my collection for some time. Either they are too expensive or just in poor shape. This one is pristine. I did not know they were made full sized.. 32' wide 20' high.
Can anyone identify partial makers label? Bonus... came with key! I am thinking around 1870 age wise...
Very nice trunkman, I also would like to find one, but as you said too expensive or roached out, nice find. greendog
Wow!! That's in amazing condition T-man!! She's a beauty! You mentioned the size of this one. I actually have one that's 38" long and 21" tall.
Nice interior. I see a lot of trunks but very few with the inserts.
Very nice trunkman ! I love the look of it , and nice to see one in such fabulous condition.
Thanks so much greendog, js, fortapache and manikin for the comments... js I had actually only seen this type in pictures and always was under the assumption they were medium sized so when I went to pick it up I was so surprised that it was full sized... learn something new with every trunk! The leather on yours is magnificent... I just saddle soaped and mink oiled this... is there another step I should consider?
T-man,
The saddle soap and mink oil is all I normally do. The leather on this one is really in amazing condition. Wonderful find!!!
