It is now one year, that I posted 'Early Loetz part II' at CW. This set of 3 vases is fully explained in their context of a total of 377 photos showing 'Early Loetz' examples in my article published at loetz.com => Identifying Loetz Glass => Early Loetz Production 1880 - 1897. The interested collectors are invited to read more details at this Loetz reference site. Here I'm happy, to take the opportunity, to thank all members of CW, who kindly contributed to this ongoing research.
Thanks again for your great work, KAIROMALTE !!!!!
Kai, your research into early Loetz has expanded the known Loetz decors dramatically; I am with Kevin (vetraio) wholeheartedly - thank you!!
You have taught me and others with your research so! much and continue to...your article on Loetz.com..is a wonderful read and learning tool...many thanks kairomalte
Beautiful pieces. The first one particularly, it has an almost Japanese 'feel' about it.
Thank you vetraio50, Michelleb007 and inky for your very kind comments regarding my research. I would like to point out to you, what is the reason for my contribution to 'Early Loetz' research, where only very limited documentation is known. Since more the over 10 years, I put together all informations on Bohemian glass from ebay and many auctions world wide and put the photos available into my library comprising now more then 135.000 photos, such allowing many comparisons of common features, and also essential, to rule out non Loetz products. I'm happy, that I can share with you, and all 'loves' CW members, what I did collect on informations within the last years.
Dear vintagefran, I also love the 'Japanese' like feeling of the free climbing roses arround this wonderful 'Early Loetz' vase.
Great stuff Kai!! Always enjoy reading your research findings.
