    i'm always torn about removing the paint someone has applied to these old flower pots. part of me thinks that keeping the actual history of a piece is important. i think i'll leave this one as is.

      FOUND IT -- IT IS BAUER POTTERY and I found the same design. Looks like yours was painted over. Here is your ID:

      One of those links says it is from 1940, and called SWIRL Design! Great find !!!!!

      There seems to be a lot of these pots very similar only made in Germany. I had 2 and one that i still have is even the same green as yours is underneath. I don't think the swirl is quite as strong. Strange...
