This was a thrift store purchase from a few years ago. Signed by artist Ross Stefan Western Oil on canvas Titled "COAL MINE MESA" dated 1968.
Ross Stefan was born in 1934, Fame came to Ross Stefan in 1971, when his one-man show in New York City virtually sold out on opening night. From that point onward, Stefan’s work was amongst the most coveted and best-collected in the state of Arizona and museums.
Must not have ridden horses. The guy in the forefront is going under the horse with any side move with the saddle cinch that loose.
That is a beautiful painting. Very skilful with regards to proportion and colour, I can see why his work is so sought after
Beautiful
Lol yeah blunderbuss I'm not sure about that. Thank you Hamish and melaniej! I'm glad you like it :)
I'm sure about it. Been there, done that. Horses will distend their bellies when you are are tightening the cinch so it is slack afterwards. Right knee in the side of their belly solves the problem.
