This was my second find at the antiques fair - a Bohemian Art Nouveau glass vase. It is a curious pinkish - grey colour, but glows bright green under UV light, indicating uranium in the outer casing. The interior is pink, with a layer of white sandwiched between it & the outer layer. It has ruby red applied trailed decoration around the neck, & light green threading around the bulbous base. It also has a satin finish.
The vase measures 13.5 cm tall, 4.5 across the slightly irregular top rim, 5.5 across the base.
Well done !!!
What a beauty, I love the form and the trailing is so interesting.
You had some good finds at the market! I hadn't been for a few months and managed to find a nice bit of Japanese glass, cheap (always good).
Many thanks, vetraio50!
Thanks also, racer4four - glad you had a find there too! Maybe we should wear a CW badge when we go next so we can recognise each other... :-)
I do believe that this is Pallme Konig white pink and green threaded.
Thanks jimtim - Pallme Konig sounds like a good call.
Damnarion : ) I knew I should have gone ::))
PK me thinks
Thanks Marty...just as well you didn't go! :-)
Had all the loot to myself...
