    This was found in my Dads garage, it is a very solid metal- only squeezes in about 5 mm . Bits do not touch when squeezed in. Strange bit is that both "blades" ( although not sharpe at either side) are curved OUTWARDS like this )( Any ideas?

      According to the "Miller's Collectables Guide" for 1991-92, page 191, this is a cork reamer for removing crumbled port corks dating to about 1870.

      Thank you for all your comments! The reamer one is great! I have also heard it could be a smoking pipe reamer.
