my new three light solid brass chandelier with opaline glass shades...
it is from circa 1900 and was originally operated by gas at that time. because there is no more gas for lightning anymore most of these lamps has been destroyed after it changed to electricity. underneath the shade you can still see the switch where the gas has been opened and closed. i believe it to be by a german manufacturer but don't have the slightest idea by whom. searched for hours to find pics of a similar piece... any clues?

Roos? Just had a look... so you mean Henry? That would be fantastic.... there are similarities with some of van de velde designs.... but i don't find a confirmation....
LOL .... Henry Clemens v. de V. to be sure.
The shape of the switches and the frame remind me of his designs.
Just because i searched the whole roos van de velde webpage for a similar design.... just kidding
