Vintage Electric Soldering Iron

This is UL rated but aside from that there is no writing on it that I can see. Anyway I bought this because I like the way it looked, the red painted handle along with the woven electric cord.
It is a foot long more or less I have a ruler in there to show scale. Seems to be a rather large example. The ones I have used are half this size. Soldering is not my specialty but eventually I can make it work. Seems to take 3 hands.
