We heard about this cool sign from a friend of ours who is a Picker but thought the price was too high so didn't jump right on it. After seeing the horrible prices at Iowa gas we gulped and took another evaluation of this sign since we only found one at the show that was a decent price. On our way home from the show we went waaaay out of our way (9 hr e trap drive) to Indiana to pick up a sign from a Collector friend and then headed to St Louis where this sign was located and decided to buy it along with a rough Phillips Pole which is also hard to find these days.
MFA For those that don't know, stands for Missouri Farmers Association, a Missouri COOP that is old but still in business. It started in 1914 and MFA Oil started in 1929 & still exists today. We saw a very cool plastic sign just like the porcelain sign we have that was standing in front of an operatingMFA COOP not far from where we got our sign. We are very happy to add this cool sign to our Collection at Lakeside Storage. It kind of looks like the 4th of July with its all American colors, Stars, Stripes etc.
Valentino 97,
We hide from the 8 motel nights, food, fuel, wear and wear tear on tires and 3000 mi on the truck and trailer. We pretend we really save $$$ by chasing the signs all over the Nation!
