I just found these two vintage rules in my grandfather's stuff. He passed away in 1950, so I think I'm safe in saying these are vintage. I do not know what the brands are, and they're very dirty. I have done nothing but dust them off. Can anyone help with what brand these might be?
J Rabone are collectable, that's amongst the four fold rulers with brass ends. J Rabone does a cable measurer which isn't with you and that's very collectable.
GeodeJem - Thanks for the info! Can I assume the one on the left is a Stanley?
The lighter one might be marked on the other side. It appears to be a model 68, which had a circular main joint and mid plate hinges on the arms. The darker one looks to be a No 36 1/2 it looks like there is a small metal plate where the alignment bit goes in. ( A little pin that helps to keep it flat when it is closed) if so it was mad Bitted (1926 thru 1932).
