Here ya go Efsgirl! I finally was able to post this.
I picked up this ring at a great deal, solid 14k Gold Band (I tested it too) with little cherubs and hearts on the side, one ruby heart center.
I have never seen a ring with a number '70' on it, asked Bonnie and she agreed. Before I knew she agreed, I figured I had it upside down and it was a Makers Mark 'OL', but no...now I don't think so which brings me back to square one!
If you enlarge photo #2 & #4 you will see what I mean. If you can't see it, when it's enlarged then just hold down your control key and hit your + symbol, tap 3 times to make it bigger. To reverse that, just hit the - key the same amount of times you hit the + key. Hope that makes sense to any that didn't know this.
Anyway...If anyone knows what the 70 means, I'd love to know. There is another mark on the opposite side that's just a blur altogether. I can't even read it with my loupe.
Thanks all! Hope you can help me figure out this mystery.
I'll get back later to chat. Thanks again!
Forgot to say, there are 4 tiny diamonds but it's really amazing how brilliantly they shine!!!
So beautiful !! wow

Caper, kura, nutsy and vet...thanks all. Nice of you to stop by. You too aura ;)
A sweetie of a ring. Is it kids or adult size? I know with your skinny digits that you need kids size stuff. It looks well made, and I love the angled shape of the body, would be comfy to wear.
Thanks for the ctrl+ info, being a dope I never knew that!! Once again CW continues my edumacashon.
Hi ya Karen...I was trying to let you know without telling on you! haha but I guess we are way too much alike cuz i tell on myself all the time here! You know what they say, if ya can't take a joke____. So were you able to see the 70? The kid would have to be a 'fluffy' kid if they were to wear this. Or at least that's what Gabriel Eglacias would say.
Thanks for stopping in bcv, Phil, Oreroy and Sean. Much appreciated!
Hi Vintagefran, thanks for stoppin in! Appreciated!
The cherubs are holding tiny diamonds that are almost buried by the gold they are set in.
Celiene, you are right by the looks of it. It's a very strange thing, they sparkle as if they were huge! To actually look for them on the ring, you might think they are not even there. It's very weird, I wish I could capture them on the camera, but I can't, no matter how hard I try, how many times I think I got it, the final and real deal is that I still need photography lessons. Thanks for stopping in.
Hi Sue! A mystery for me, too. I don't have any idea why the number 70 would be stamped on the ring. A "size" 70 = a 22 3/4, so that's not it! I'm surprised that there is no purity stamp.
Beautiful.....A date made ?? 1970's maybe or something like that
Bonnie, thanks, I'm in the same boat with this. There is a mark on the other side but that's as easy as trying to figure out an artists name on a painting! Strange right??? I shouldn't have purchased it. But on the other hand, because they thought it was less weight, I'll probably get more than I paid. This is the first time I can say that yes, I love batteries, especially when they are not mine but dying!!! LOL!
Hi Rose! I've been missing you!!! And the answer to that is not just no, it's heeeellll no!!! haha
You are the second person that's said from the 70's. I'm stickin' to it! Thanks hon, good to see you back. xoxo
This is so beautiful. Would love to wear it
