This is a 9" Franz Welz Deco vase featuring a great mix of "zipper" and a "line" patterns. I believe bot the zig-zagging of the colored spiral and the lines were caused by the same action; pulling it through a mold. What is interesting to me is the way the bottom gets the same effect as the sides- How'd they do that?
Beautiful and mesmerizing!
Wonderful!
Great décor, love it! As to, 'How'd they do that?'......that's what we expect you to tell us!
Haha, all I know is glass is like balloons made out of candy!! But I remember someone showing me a satin (frosted) zig-zag (zipper) vase and he explained they took the glass father and spread it around the surface and "Raked" the surface back and fourth to create the pattern. From what I see here it clearly shows that lines are the same action tgat creates lines also can "zig-zag a spiral of colored glass
Thank you, so you do know more than your first sentence makes out!
