I found several of these near the Cape Henry army base in Virginia Beach. I was wondering if you ever found any more information?

I found an identical button to this yesterday in West Virginia in an area that shouldn't have had military activity since the civil war. I'd love some more info on it.

Just found that, mine doesn't appear to be aluminum, but it's the same design as a ww1 army/marine pants button.
