Rare Vintage VESS Soda Bottle complet with all paper labels Green Embossed Glass
This is a vintage green glass embossed slug plate VESS soda bottle Compleat with all paper labels even the gold foil that was used to seal the top of the bottle .
The bottle neck label is for "Drink Billion Bubble Beverages Cold"

The main label reads. "Certified Pure
VESS

None better at any price
Dry ginger Ale"
There are a few small flaws on labels see photos. But in over all condition there in very good shape for a bottle of its age and haveing any labels are a rarady.
I have sean several of these bottles over the years and have not seen one before with all there labels in tact as well as the foil wrap in this condition.
The top reads: "VESS" logo... "BEV. REC. U.S .P."
The bottom edge is embossed "ONE PINT 8 FL OZ"
The bottom is embossed "VESS BEVERAGES 3 6"

Well there are 12 of these in my collection as well as Lemon and one called liquid food.
What is liquid food?
Liquid food can be either liquid food or a strength / energy-giving non-carbonated drink.
Nice label.
Vess is a local soda brand made here in St Louis....at one time their twelve-foot tall "electric bottle" advertising sign was said to be the world's largest revolving electric sign.
Well beer use to be called liquid bread now and then. Well it was funny that Cott who now own Vess have no idea what it was. Could have been some way they made baby food who knows.
Well Vess was bottled in Murphysboro when I was a kid at the Dr. Peper plant I use to stand in the window and watch them bottle it.
We also had a large Coca Cola plant.
As well as few local soda plants and brewery.
But the town went to pot.
