Here is one of my find today, at one of my thrift store, very attractive Studio Art glass Rooster/Pelican with silver inclusion on the back of the bird, Amber crest, 2 enormous Black feet(typical), pale Yellow Aventurine to the main body, clear glass for is mouth, all very well done in the manner of the art glass of Murano.
I will not mention the price I pay, just in case someone say..... I lie to you LOL......
I just gone say, Thrift store price.
This bird stand 8.50 inch tall, 9.50 inch long from beak to tail
In Animal, NO BIRD CATEGORY, humm
Category.....AMAZING. Some pieces you just have to buy even if they don't fall into your main collecting area!
sklo42, I still love regular Art Glass( My first Love), even if it's not Bohemian, the cheap price(of the Thrift) and the beauty of an unbroken piece like that just justified, I guess, LOL
Most unusual - like a cross between a chicken & a pelican!
Hi Alan, It's a beautiful piece. You may want to consider that this bird is an Ann Primrose work.
