Took advantage of a Labor Day weekend sale on Etsy today to snag this perfect period textile... A circa 1960s Psychedelic Dress with the "Toby Tanner by Marjorie Lord" label. To be up front, there was no way for me to pass by this, I mean on a single "way too big" collar it has a color scheme of purple and orange!!! PURPLE & ORANGE! I am ALL IN on that! That made not only a fashion statement, but is probably responsible for drug testing by employers today.

The large collar brought back so many memories! We wore these clothes all the time and my girlfriends and I sewed a lot of our own clothes from these wonderful, blinding fabrics! Thanks so much for posting this!

I absolutely love this and your collection!! You have found a lot of interesting things. I am myself very interested in womens jewelry from a historical fashion point of view. It's interesting to follow how first it was mainly for the rich nobility but threw time it was more and more available for all womens as makers started to elaborate with new materials. When I see your clothes it makes me joyfull to see the rebellion towards the old ideas and the boldness in color and pattern. Thanks for sharing your wonderful things!
