I had not been in the little store where I find a lot of my jewelry deals for a couple weeks, so I decided I would go today. This necklace was up on the counter in some jewelry that the older man was sorting through. He told me that this was a "hippie necklace". Haha!! I got this necklace for a dollar. It is a very odd necklace, I have never seen another one like it. The beads are glass or porcelain that are in set into some type of metal. Any ideas of age?
Well, that makes two of us who have never seen such a necklace....the barrel clasp looks to be from the vintage era.
It may be from the 60s-70s era, the "Beadazzeled Stores". Odd that they all overlap, I wonder if at one time they were separated, with the long beads. Interesting though like eyes! :^)
